Tweed

Last night MarissaNathalia, and I stopped by Tweed to check out the launch of their newest product. The Men's Soap Shop is a local company committed to producing all natural grooming products for men, and they are creatively sold in flasks! (Hint Hint for Father's Day)

TREND ALERT: Perforated Pieces

Perfection is all in the details, it is what makes clothing so special. Perforated fabrics are a must have this summer. A perforated fabric is either pierced, hole punched, or laser cut. Leather, mesh, or suede make sure you have a punctured piece in your wardrobe. This detail is unbelievably cool and visually intriguing.

In typical girlfriend fashion we both found ourselves in leather punch-hole pieces, check it out.

The Boyfriend Jean

Booties:(Zara) Jeans: (GAP) Scarf: (Nordstrom) Watch: (Michael Kors) Hat: (J.Crew)

Boyfriend jeans are great, one of my favorite items. They are comfortable and the column leg look, unlike a skinny or a flare is flattering on all shapes. And the best part is, you don't need a boyfriend to rock this look!
Pair them with a black blazer & heels for a day date look, or a flannel undershirt with a crop sweater and boots for a inspired grunge chic look.

Splurge at Nordstrom, Save at Forever 21
Just remember to cuff the bottoms!

Falling for Fall

Wide brim hats are my absolute favorite. They instantly give off this air of refined elegance and style no matter what you’re wearing. It is the perfect way to mix in some of your summer pieces while its not quite cold enough to break out winter pieces. A scarf is my go-to accessory to layer this with, the patterned scarf gives the outfit more depth.

Back to Basics

Booties: (ShoeDazzle) Bag: (Kate Spade) Skirt: (Club Monaco) Sweater: (J.Crew) Sunnies: (ALDO) Jacket: (Forever 21, similar here)

When thinking about fall outfits, it dawned on me that last fall was when I first started the blog. What better way to kickstart this year by paying homage to a piece from my outfit that started it all: the J.Crew bulldog!

Fashion has no longer has rules, so here I am in white after labor day. Splurged on this Club Monaco skirt and it was well worth it. Trying not to be a force for my daytime classes, I dressed it down with this cargo jacket. The cargo jacket is essential for every wardrobe because it is the perfect amount of grunge while still looking chic and sophisticated. I will definitely be wearing this skirt all year, looking forward to making glam during the holidays.
