January is all about resolutions, have you been keeping
yours?
My personal goal amongst many others is to workout. As a
fashion major I am a total believer in the whole “looking good makes you feel
good” motto and that you can achieve both at the same time! My fitness wardrobe
go-tos all have 3 qualities: they’re stylish, functional, and transitional for
other outfit combinations outside of the gym. My essentials are a stylish yet
functional pair of sneakers, black leggings, a few fun tanks, and a hoodie for
layering – easy enough right? So go ahead and splurge on the workout wear! Note
some of my best recommendations below…
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - I live in these.
I actually own two pairs just so I do not need to wash them all the time! They are
the ultimate black legging for both exercise and lounging. The material is
“wunderful” and the fit is unbelievable – no matter how many days on the
treadmill or the couch, they keep their shape without stretching out or getting
baggy.
These sneakers feel like a second skin. This sneaker is so
flexible and breathable; it feels as if you are wearing socks with a sole!
I have owned plenty of workout tops. I’ve tried Under
Armour, Addidas, Nike, and even just old Hanes t-shirts but nothing compares to
the “Run Swiftly” top from Lulu! This is easily one of the most comfortable
things I have ever put on & the technology of the shirt’s fabric is great
for sensitive skin and preventing irritation from sweat. Bonus feature? It
comes in over ten colors, and I want them all!
When it comes to workout wear I love incorporating color.
The royal blue color of this Athleta hoodie will set you apart from the rest.
The lightweight material is not only perfect for keeping post workout muscles
warm, but also doubles as a light jacket for transitioning into the spring!
